Michael Fuchs is a postdoc in the project “Fiction Meets Science” at the University of Oldenburg in Germany. He earned his doctoral degree in English & American Studies at the University of Graz in Austria with a dissertation on meta-cinematic tendencies in horror films. Most of my research starts from horror, the Gothic, and science fiction and then veers off into different directions. In terms of official capacities, I am the managing editor of JAAAS: Journal of the Austrian Association for American Studies and the current vice-president of the Austrian Association for American Studies.
