Areas of expertise: Contemporary American literature, Californian literature, true crime.

PhD candidate @ Queen’s University.
She holds an BA in English literature from Western University, as well as a MA in English literature from Queen’s University. Jesyka’s work examines contemporary Californian literature, with a focus on representations of the Californian landscape (both physical and social) by Californian authors in their fiction and non-fiction. Jesyka’s secondary research interest focuses on true crime narratives, particularly women’s interventions in the genre. Jesyka is Co-Editor-in-Chief of The Lamp Literary Journal.
