MA @ Montclair State University.
MA and BA in English Language/Literature. My MA thesis concerns the woman as the “marginalized subject” within language, particularly how “she” and the sexualized body are articulated across postmodern fiction, contemporary narratives, and recent theoretical frameworks. I focus on how subversive texts expose the patriarchal underpinnings of language and narratives and explore how theories of performativity and power give rise to perceptions of sexuality and difference within postmodern aesthetics. Moreover, my research examines the dimensions of marginalization across pop culture, art, and visual media.
